HELP & FAQ

Everything you need to know about using Pitchcraft to sharpen your pitch materials.

HOW PITCHCRAFT WORKS

Pitchcraft is a suite of analysis tools built specifically for screenwriters. You paste in your pitch material — whether it's a logline, one-pager, synopsis, writer's bio, or full script — and Pitchcraft evaluates it against industry-standard criteria. Each tool scores your work, highlights strengths and weaknesses, and gives you concrete, actionable feedback to make your material stronger before it reaches a producer's desk.

THE TOOLS

Logline Analyzer +

The Logline Analyzer evaluates your logline against the key elements that industry readers look for: a clear protagonist, identifiable conflict, stakes, an ironic hook, and genre clarity. It checks structure, word count, emotional pull, and whether your logline communicates the essence of your story in a single compelling sentence.

You'll get a score out of 100 along with a detailed breakdown of what's working and what could be tightened.

One-Pager Analyzer +

The One-Pager Analyzer reviews your one-page pitch document for structure, clarity, and persuasiveness. It evaluates whether you've effectively communicated your story's premise, main characters, central conflict, tone, and market positioning.

The tool checks formatting, length appropriateness, hook strength, and whether the document would make a reader want to request the script.

Synopsis Analyzer +

The Synopsis Analyzer evaluates your story synopsis for narrative flow, character development, plot structure (setup, confrontation, resolution), pacing, and emotional arc. It checks that your synopsis tells the complete story while remaining engaging and well-structured.

It flags common issues like missing turning points, unclear character motivations, pacing problems, and whether the ending is satisfying.

Writer's Bio Analyzer +

The Writer's Bio Analyzer reviews your professional bio for tone, relevance, and positioning. It checks whether your bio effectively communicates your experience, voice, and unique perspective as a writer.

The tool evaluates length, professional tone, relevant credits, personal connection to your material, and whether the bio builds confidence that you're the right person to tell this story.

Full Script Coverage +

Full Script Coverage provides a comprehensive analysis of your complete screenplay. It evaluates structure, dialogue quality, character development, pacing, visual storytelling, theme, marketability, and format compliance.

You'll receive an overall score plus individual scores for each category, a detailed written assessment, and specific recommendations for revision. This mirrors the coverage format used by studios and production companies.

SCORING

Every tool produces a score out of 100. Free-tier scoring uses rule-based checks that analyze structure, length, keyword presence, and formatting against known industry patterns. Paid-tier scoring adds AI-enhanced analysis for deeper evaluation of narrative quality, emotional resonance, and market readiness.
