SCRIPT SHIELD

Drop in your screenplay PDF and get a protected copy back. It all happens inside your browser: your script is never uploaded, to us or to anyone else.

Checking your account...
Drop your PDF here, or click to choose Up to 600 pages. Your file stays on this device.

How should the copy behave?

Your details

Locked mode settings

Advanced
Download everything before you leave this page. Nothing is kept on our side, so there is no copy to send you later and no way to rebuild these files. Save the copies log as well as the PDFs: without it a leak cannot be traced back to anyone, and that is half of what Shield is for.

WHAT EACH MODE DOES

Neither mode makes copying impossible: anyone who can see a page can photograph it. Keep your original file. Shielded copies are for sending.

QUESTIONS

Does it stop AI training on my script?

It stops the cheap, automatic route: software that pulls text out of PDFs. It does not stop tools that read pictures of pages, such as OCR or AI vision models.

Will my readers notice?

They won’t see a difference on the page. They won’t be able to search or copy the text, so if a reader needs that, send them an unprotected copy.

What about plagiarism?

This doesn’t prevent plagiarism. Personal copies make it possible to trace a leaked file, but please still copyright your work, use written agreements, and send copies only to people you trust.

Is my unprotected script stored on your system?

It never reaches our system in the first place, and that is deliberate. Script Shield runs entirely inside your browser: your script is opened, protected and saved on your own computer, and no copy is sent to us or to anyone else. Nothing is uploaded, so there is nothing on our servers to be breached, demanded in a legal request, or left behind by mistake. You can check this yourself: open your browser’s developer tools, watch the Network tab, and protect a script. Nothing goes out.

TRACE A LEAKED COPY

Found your script somewhere it should not be? Give this page your original PDF, the leaked file and your copies log, and it tells you which copy the leak came from. It works for Invisible copies, including files that have been re-saved or re-exported, as long as the text is still real text. It cannot read a leak that has been turned into pictures or retyped.
